At about that time I discovered Hawaii Literacy, which was using the Laubach Literacy method of teaching adults to read, but had no association with Literacy Volunteers of America.

But computers are also being used to teach people to read and write, so there is a good side of all that also.

It's in every area of life, we are responsible for our successes, for our failures.

The most difficult task is to identify them, because you can't look at someone who can't read and identify them as being a non - reader.

Society needs to be more supportive of people who cannot read.
